Session Info:
First I am a natural light photographer so the photo session will be done outside ( multiple locations are allowed time permitting ) or can be done in your home by a window ( for light reasons). The times I prefer to do a session is early morning or 1 to 2 hours before sunset. This is the best light to use since it isn't as harsh. Before your session we'll select a location outside or in your home. I will do my best to make you feel relaxed and at ease. This makes for more natural images.
A session, usually runs 1 hour, but occasionally runs over depending on circumstances ( some children take longer and/or outfit changes ).
I will sometimes give you suggested positioning for you to put your own spin on it ( not usually though), but mostly I like the photographs to look natural so I am not really into posing. Any props and/or clothing you would like to bring along are always welcome. Or if there are any fun ideas that you would like incorporated into your photos you are welcome to contact me before our session. I like to get to know the person or persons I am going to be photographing ( this makes it easier to see your style ). And this can be done via any resource you would like to use ( phone, email, facebook, or if convenient in person ). I am willing to travel in the St. Louis Metro east area.
Booking your session:
Half of the session fee is due at the time of the booking. Payment can be made by cash, check or paypal. Your session fee retainer must be received within 5 days of when you book your session or your date will not be secure. The remaining balance is due at your session. The session retainer is nonrefundable, but is transferable if rescheduling is needed ( ex. weather not cooperating ). If you need to reschedule your session kindly give 24 hours notice please.
Clothing:
Simple clothing choices are best for creating timeless portraits. I suggest solid colors; avoiding busy patterns and logos, these tend to draw attention away from the face. Jeans, dresses, and khakis are classics and photograph well. Add in some texture and layers and you can't go wrong. Don't forget to accessorize: hats, scarves, belts, and shoes can all add fun and personality to your photos.
For families I suggest coordinating your style and colors but not all matching ( don't all wear the same colored shirt and jeans ).
After your session:
Usually a day or 2 after the session I will have a sneak peek of the session up on the blog and/or facebook.

Approximately 2 weeks after your session I will contact you to let you know that your CD of digital images is ready with print release!
